20 Year Old Tawny Port by Burmester

Post by Claus P »

  • N.V. J.W. Burmester Porto 20 Year Old Tawny - Portugal, Douro, Porto (5/21/2010)
Redish-brown colour with orange rim. Dried citrus and raisin/prune on the nose that you can sniff forever. taste is orange peel and walnuts with a nice acidity. Finish is medium to long dominated by walnuts.
Consumed over 3 weeks where the walnuts got more pronounced over time.

Thanks for the TN and for posting from CellarTracker. Sounds like a wine I need to try!

+1 on that. Too bad it isn't real common this side of the pond.
