1977 Kopke Colheita Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Bottled in 2006
The color of this has always reminded me of a dark apple juice but with some orange in it. Lovely scents of cloves, candied pecans, walnuts, and just a faint amount of heat in the background to keep it fresh. Very viscous on the front end yet very acidic on the back end. Between that is filled with carmel, cedar, cinnamon, and some cracked pepper. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the long full finish that completes the whole package. A wonderful bottle and I am very sad to say my last bottle as well.
