In reality, for the price of one bottle of a current vintage Port you will receive a one year subscription. For the record, there will be 10 issues of the For The Love of Port newsletter published in 2009 (produced in a .pdf format which will enable subscribers to print out each edition), although your subscription will be for 12 months from the date your payment is verified. While your subscription directly goes to cover the cost of the newsletter, the following additional perks are included with your subscription:

Roy’s Tasting Notes: Only subscribers to the newsletter will have access to my Port, Madeira and Douro wine tasting note data base, which currently has well over 1000 TN entries, with about 1500 expected by the end of this year.

PORTraits Photo Gallery: While registered users on the website can view the photo gallery, only subscribers to the newsletter will be able to upload their photos to the new PORTraits database, which will quickly become the largest source of photos on every possible facet of Port, Madeira and Douro wine related topics. Please have a look at this exciting new area.

New Subscriber-Only Features: We are continuing to add new subscriber-only features to the site as a thank-you for your support of FTLOP. - that will be negotiated directly for FTLOP subscribers with importers and retailers of Port, Douro wines and Madeira.  These buying opportunities will solely be announced in the newsletter a few times each year and the savings will add great value to your subscription.  2009 Note:  Although FTLOP will handle negotiations with the importers and retailers, it will not benefit from, nor are we involved in the sales transaction or shipment of any wine sold.
