In my opinion, GOULD CAMPBELL is the "most underrated producer of Vintage Port." This excellent 1985 bottling falls squarely between 1963 - 2007, during which time GC represents one of the greatest examples of consistency in Port wine. Additionally, this Port brand offers extraordinary value for money today, in virtually every major vintage since 1977. Consumers should seek them out!

During our visit to their Port lodge, it was very nice to spend time with Susana Ferraz of Niepoort Vinhos, Lda.
Even better than the 1985 ... the 1983 Gould Campbell is at the top of its game and as good as any Port from this particular vintage.

A bunch of Colheitas from a variety of Port houses can be found in special shops from Porto to Lisbon. This is one of my favorites, neatly tucked away in Porto.

Here is a bottle that I do not think anyone has in their cellar. A very rare Ramos Pinto from a vintage (1981) from which few have ever seen any Douro wine or Port produced.

LUISA BORGES' smile is infectious. Her photo image is no stranger to this page. A crowd favorite in person, her bubbly personality fits right alongside her more serious Douro wines and Ports under the Vieira de Sousa label.
