I have some 1999 boxes, Ill check them, just like Nicolas Cage in National treasures, hidden stuff

But ill agree, the boxes bring OWC to a higher level, just love them.

Stayed at Quinta do portal, visited Seara d Ordens, Casal dos Jordoes, Quinta de Ervamoira

In VNG I`ve visited Grahams, Taylors, Ramos pinto, Sandeman, Calem

This Year will be my 4th tour to Douro/Porto

Romariz colheita 66.... It was the top taste of the evening... but everybody was disapointed, not worth the money

Last year, at a tasting in Copenhagen, I`ve tasted the 20-30 and 40 y old tawny
Some of the best tawny I`ve ever tasted.

Taylors Vintage 2009

The single quinta wines is getting better and better, of course you need sun, but the winemakers getting better and better making perfect wines.

The complexity in the wines is missing, when you only use grapes from one quinta, but i like them anyway

The fields is rated from A-F

The angel to the sun
How many wines on one hectar
How many grapes you pick/harvest
How cloce to the Douro
Altitude
and somthing else

I think that you only can have A fields close to the Douro, and you must have an A field for making Vintage port

right ???

In Denmark the Vesuvio 2003 cost about 70 Eur. in a wineshop

My strategy in 2009 is buy buy buy.... the price is going down down down, on the wine auction. :)

I prefere to drink port with my wife or with some friends. If im alone in the weekends (wife at work) Maybe i opend a bottel of port.

But normaly with i dont drink alone

About 5 years ago my brother, my father and I where in a wineshop buying redwine for the christmas. The owner of the wineshop asked us - would you like to try some port ????
